Dr. Mark Nguyen, Psy.D., Ed.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral addictions (including gambling), neurodivergent challenges and learning disabilities. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. Dr. Nguyen provides culturally responsive, evidence-based care using approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and Behavioral Activation to support emotional regulation, resilience, and meaningful behavioral change.
Dr. Nguyen has extensive clinical experience providing psychological assessment and psychotherapy to adolescents and adults facing complex emotional, behavioral, and health-related challenges. He works with individuals to help them develop healthier coping strategies, increase psychological flexibility, and improve daily functioning. His work often involves collaboration within interdisciplinary care teams to support patients adjusting to injury, medical conditions, learning disabilities and significant life stressors, with a focus on restoring functioning, strengthening resilience, and improving overall quality of life.
