Tannaz Jourabchian completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Healthcare and Social Issues. During that time, she was involved in multiple research projects investigating different compounds for therapeutic benefits on Huntington’s Disease at The Scripps Research Institute. While attending UCSD, Tannaz completed an Internship at Hoag Hospital in addition to working in various roles in healthcare. Her collective experiences further solidified her desire to pursue medicine. Tannaz completed her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California.
Tannaz uses a multidisciplinary and integrative approach to treating psychiatric disorders including evidence-based medicine, genetic testing, and psychotherapy. She specializes in dual diagnosis, depression disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and substance-induced disorders. Tannaz strives to provide treatment tailored to each individual patient based on symptom profile, treatment history, genetics, and other bio-psycho-social factors. She is passionate about supporting her patients in improving their wellness and happiness. Ultimately, she hopes to guide her patients in becoming more proactive in their overall health.
