Jennifer McCart, Ph.D.
Dr. Jennifer McCart is a clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of neurodivergent individuals, with particular focus on ADHD assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, and the management of attention, memory, and executive functioning challenges. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, a program that emphasized a systems theory and the integration of spirituality within psychological practice. This foundation continues to inform her appreciation for the interconnectedness of the mind, body, relationships, and broader systemic influences on well-being.
In clinical practice, Dr. McCart focuses on supporting individuals experiencing difficulties related to neurodivergent conditions, anxiety, depression, somatic symptoms, stress-related concerns, and the relational dynamics that often emerge within families and partnerships impacted by ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence. She integrates a range of evidence-based interventions—including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, solution-focused approaches, and person-centered informed methods—to create a tailored form of treatment that is both practical and personalized. Her work emphasizes clarity, resilience, and measurable progress, ensuring that clients have structured guidance alongside compassionate care.
Dr. McCart is committed to providing thoughtful clinical care that promotes functional improvement, emotional balance, and long-term whole-body well-being. She approaches her work with a direct and supportive style that is both nonjudgmental and deeply relational. She values in-person sessions for the connection and attunement they provide, and views the therapeutic relationship as central to meaningful change. Dr. McCart has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in a variety of mental health settings including: university counseling, community mental health, child and adolescent academic based counseling, inpatient psychiatric care, and medical rehabilitation.
