Jennifer Huggins, PsyD
Dr. Jennifer Huggins is a Clinical Psychologist, specializing in chronic pain and trauma. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of California at Santa Barbara with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She soon went on to receive both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. She continued onto advanced, post-doctoral training and completed her fellowship in Health Psychology at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. After her fellowship, she began working at a functional restoration pain program (FRP) in 2010, where she advanced her training in treating patients with chronic pain through a whole-person, mind-body treatment approach. Dr. Huggins, uniquely, suffered from chronic pain herself for many years, which ignited in her passion in helping others.
Dr. Huggins is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a highly effective and well-researched treatment approach to treating trauma. Dr. Huggins is a Southern California native and moved back to the area in 2012 and has been focused on her Psychology practice and participating in advanced trainings to assure she is the most up to date with the best treatment approaches for her clients. In her spare time, Dr. Huggins enjoys snuggling with her rescue dog, Sophie, spending time with friends, and practicing yoga.
